​I smoke on an old weber kettle and I have tried green (apple) wood before.

​I thought the beef I smoked is a tad bitter.

​Pork and fish seem to smoke well with the green apple.

​I have never had any problems with seasoned woods.

When I trim my fruit trees I use green wood, I slice it thin with my miter saw then chop it up and put it in my cold smoker box with no problems.
