Just thought I would throw this out there.

We have been doing this for some time weather we are grilling or smoking.

Wash and dry some baking spuds, poke a few times with a fork.

wrap them with a couple strips of bacon, sprinkle VERY lightly with sea salt.

Wrap individually with 2 layers of tin foil.

Place them on the heat and turn them often till they get soft to squeeze with tongs.

move them to the side and burn your meat.

When they are unwrapped the bacon will have cooked right into the skin and they taste amazing!

Just thought I'd share one of my fav's.

Now thats not a new recipe for baked/smoked potatoes we have been using something similar to yours but thanks for throwing it out there. Alot of the new folks here might not have seen it yet.

Thanks for sharing your recipe with us.  I have done them similar but I dont wrap them in foil. I like the smokiness so I dont foil

I love potatoes but I cannot think of a good reason to wrap them in foil unless someone wants to ruin them?  Wrapping in bacon?  Now I could get close to an idea like that !

Good luck and good smoking!
