Hello everyone, my name is Gerald and I'm pretty much an experienced newbie with smoking meats. I've been a "lurker" of this site for a while now and finally decided to join. I live in Charlotte, NC, (originally from SC) so I've been around a lot of great BBQ spots. My current set up is a modded Char-Griller Smoking Pro, but I'm ready to upgrade to either a Old Country Pecos smoker or either a Wrangler in the near future. I'm looking forward to learning even more about smoking meats as a member of this site!!!

Cool, an experienced smoker, this place will make you better and you can make

this a better place.

Welcome to the forum.

Keep on smokin'                                   Ed

Welcome from SC. It's really good to have you on this great site. I know you will enjoy it here. I was born in Charlotte and been in SC for 46 years. I love it here. Joe

Thanks guys! What mods would you recommend for an Old Country Pecos smoker other than sealing, baffle, and firebox basket? I'm gonna keep my two therms from my old smoker and just install them on the Pecos.
