Hey all from the great rainy northwest.. Names Mike just got my first true smoker. I've been using a chip box on my grill and while it was "ok" I really wasn's satisfied with the results so I told the wife that I wanted a smoker for Christmas and after alot of searching both the web and budget dictated the No. 6 gas smoker from Smoke Hollow... Got it put togther this morning and let it season for 3 hours with a tray full of Hickory. Only problem I can see right out the gate is that I cannot for the life of me get the temp down under 300 even with the damper all the way open. Well that's about it I promise not to ask too many stupid questions before I use the search function.
