My Fridge built is done...doing some chicken and couple baby back ribs....mine I use lump from bottom.  walked away for a bit and daughter said why are there flames coming out of the smoker.

Fridge is out of square....the stainless tin I lined the door and corners is now like paper.  Not sure if I will rebuild or buy a ??.

good thing...the Roxul insulation hi temp stuff is like the day I installed it...it did not burn.  The hi temp silicone I had on the back vent...burned.

That is ugly......  Sorry that happened....  Did you figure out what caused the fire so it don't happen again ???  There are folks here that could learn from your tragedy...   Dave

Sorry man...happened to me as well. Everyone is safe ...thats all that truely matters.

My error was to a misplaced AMPNS near the grease tray

Wow, this has me contemplating on how I may need to contain my grease so I don't end up in the same situation.  An eye opener, indeed.

I am curious as to what thickness of stainless you used on your smoker.  I would suggest you go thicker than what you used there.  I have never seen any kind of metal burn like that, especially stainless.  That must have been one hell of a fire.
