Ok , so I decided to pull the trigger on the electric ECB. Glad I did too. Looks brand new and for only 40 bucks.

Gonna give everything a wash down and fire it up to check the temps.

Plan on throwin a chicken on this weekend.

Until then here's a pick of the smoker. Like you haven't seen one!

Congrats on the new smoker, let us know about your first smoke!

Congrats, looking forward to seeing the new baby in action!

Can't wait to see it charred and blackened, ready to kick out some great Q! Season it by spraying cooking oil on all the surfaces and then plug it in and let it crank for a few hours.

BigAl -- Nice price for a new one too. Enjoy.

I have bought two (one for Dad in Tulsa) and one was 49.00 and one 59.00. (both at Lowe's -- Bixby Lowe's was more?)

Congrats and welcome to the community. I've just tossed a couple racks of ribs on mine. Why in the middle of the evening am I starting a couple racks of ribs? Because I can!

Let us know how your first smoke goes, and don't forget to read up on the notes here about brining your bird.

That's the smoker I started with. Wish it were still that clean. Are you going to add a thermometer to it? I may do that to mine yet. I'm building a bigger smoker for bacons, sausage etc. since it's difficult to hang anything in one of those. Still, they cook meat just fine.

Congrats BigE,

That's a fine smoker and I'll bet you'll be turning out some mighty fine Que before you know it
