Hi All,

Well after reading all the posts here it looks like one of the favs for thermometers is the Maverick ET-73 so I went ahead and ordered one from Amazon and it came in today.

So I went ahead and boiled some water on the stove and the Food probe read 211 and the Chamber probe read 210, is this a normal variance?

Thanks,

Jeff

I would say yes. It also depends on your altitude, as water boils at different temps at different altitudes.

Thanks for the feedback, I am at about 1250 ft so sounds like that is what it is then. Just wasn't sure if there should be a difference between the two probes or not. Guess it really doesn't matter now that I know what they read boiling water at I can adjust in my head :)
