Hello! I live in Muscle Shoals, AL. I'm a long time cook and mainly use a very heavy rolled steel custom grill. I make good BBQ and I say that with the credit given to all the poor pigs I ruined while learning along the way. I've been really wanting a big Lang for a few years, but have never been able to just put that amount of $$$ out and feel comfortable. I realize this is a different beast of a grill. I can comfortably cook 4 butts or 3 racks of ribs now and I wanna increase that 5x.

I started looking for a tank last week and the first place I checked told me they were legally unable to sell me one, but that they had just delivered 5 tanks to the scrap yard down the street. The guy at the LP Store snickered and mentioned something about "paint" as I left. Turns out my neighbor is the VP of the company that owns the scrap yard and I found out the "paint" story when I got there. The LP store had an employee who was directed to go and refurbish some tanks and he started on the "wrong" lot of tanks and got 6 totally worthless tanks sanded and painted before they caught him. So there they were! 6 brand new looking scrap 250 gallon LP tanks!

Anywho, I've been reading here for days and am about to get up close and personal on this journey. Right off the bat, is there a widely recognized as "better/best" example of a build here. I've seen many that are "good", but as far as looks, ease of use and most importantly "results", is there a king thread here?

Also, if you're around my area and looking for a really nice bargain on a tank of your own, let me know!
