I am looking for a good electric smoker to start. I've done indirect grilling on our kettle Weber charcoal grille. But I want an electric smoker for ease of use. I would like to spend at most 300-350. I may spend a little additional for other accessories.

I live in NC and we have some good BBQ and I want to make more at home. I've thought about Masterbuilt as I see them in many stores around here but from reviews and posts they don't seem to last or regularly need parts replaced. I understand generation 1 or 2.5 are the Masterbuilt to get.

Is charbroil any good or smoke hollow? I see smoking it and they are pricy but look well built! And have a 3yr warranty.

Thought? I'd be cooking for my wife and my son most of the time but want to have space to cook a number of items.

Maybe eventually try cold smoking cheese and such.

My personal recommendation would be to look at smokers from Smokin-it. Well worth the investment. There are a couple of posts on the Smoke Hollow which look promising.

Since your already familiar with Weber products, have you thought about a WSM.

They are just about as set & forget as an electric, but you get the taste of charcoal/wood.

The 18.5 is $299 & the 22.5 is $399.

So I wanted the Smoking It #2 soo bad...But life is happening with other bills and maybe a family addition in 9ish months or less....So for that reason gotta scale back to Smoke Hollow 26142E Electric Smoker for about $80 off Amazon instead and $70 in accessories approximately.

Family and budgets always come first.  Enjoy the SH and let us know how you're doing with it.

We cooked last weekend:
Chicken
Ribs just seasoning/rub no BBQ...
Two types of sausage

Chicken was awesome and moist.
Ribs were good the kind my wife got were not my favorite.I think they were not baby backs. Also wrapped them in foil in the smoker for the last 2 hrs...
Sausage is good, maybe a bit overcooked.
We used mesquite wood chips!
