Hello everyone!! I love the site and I've learned a lot reading the posts here. Looking for motivation now..what's one the menu for he Dallas game today???

:welcome1:

Not watching the game, but will be making some potato sausage and German pretzels.

Feel free to ask us questions and to show off your creations!

Yesterday was the first time I've gotten ribs to turn out perfect. Lot of pressure to follow up today. Just trying to come up with a new idea.

Welcome from SC. It's really good to have you here on this great site. Congrats on your ribs. Keep a log of your cooks. It will amaze you over the years how your definition of "perfect" will change.

What part of NC are you in? I was raised in Charlotte and went to school in Chapel Hill.

I'm in the Sanford area of NC. Never thought I'd still be in this part of the world for this long. Thanks for the welcome.

Yeah it's not too bad. Living here has turned me into a beach bum. If all goes according to plan I'll retire out there.

Plus the golf around here is amazing. I don't have the game to match these amazing courses but I'm still out there lol

Good Evening , and welcome to SMF. Have you come up with any ideas yet? A pork butt is always a good bet. Fish is always good as well. I have a post a couple weeks ago on a chicken I did from a suggestion/idea on here. A 10-15 min boil in crab boil. Then I split it in half rubbed it and put it on the smoker to cook and finish. It turned out rather good. So chicken is always a good bet as well.
Good luck and check out the forums.

The crab boil idea sounds amazing. I will keep that in mind. I did some wings and they turned out well. Ended up drinking a bunch of beer and watching Dallas lose a good game...maybe next year.
