Saw an add for a slicer on Craigslist for $30. Figured I'd give the guy a call and check it out. Showed up and turns out to be a Globe model 400. I'm assuming at least 50y old. The guy gave it to me for free since he couldn't get it to power up. When I got home I realized that there is a cutoff switch when the table is raised all the way. The unit will need a lot of elbow grease to clean off years of hardened grease but I think it will be well worth the effort.

Seeing your post inspired me to search Craig's List for a slicer. Lowest price - $450..... oh well. Looks like you got a great deal even if it takes some work to get it running.
