Hey fellas', I posted my introduction a little earlier today. Today I made an already family "staple" (despite just completing twice), my glazed drumsticks and smoked Brats'. I started late, and finished late - because I was looking for an improved thermometer, and a charcoal basket, but was unable to find either - at: Walmart & Super Walmart, Lowes & HD, AND a local grill store. I did find the thermometer, at $17 and wasn't all that large NOR did it go below 200*... *shrugs* So I may just order them online.. Anyways - this is about 6:00pm. Is this the "blue" smoke I hear about on here? About 7:00pm [flash]: [no flash] Brats' smoking: Finished items: (if you look close, you can see the reflection of the sky off the "juice" in the pan) (made these on the grill, too) Second time I've made the glazed drumsticks. I used 1/3 Sweet Baby Ray's 1/3 Stubbs Burbon Q and 1/3 Budwiser. I had to finish up the Budwiser stuff that I mainly use for lunch items, so I mixed all three, but I did the first time with SBR' and Stubbs. First time I smoked brats. They were deeeelicious. I am doing some boneless baby back tomorrow. I have them in the fridge rubbed and ready for tomorrow afternoon. I will say, with the wealth of info here, I have made some good food, despite only doing this a handful of times. Thanks for looking.
