Getting started?

I'm new to smoking and was looking at ordering a smoker in the next few weeks, currently I'm looking at getting a Yoder YS640, anyone have any experience with them?  Also, what are some of the needed/suggested accessories for smoking? (probes, flavor injector, etc).  I already ordered a copy of Jeff's book, anyone have any other suggested noobie guides? Thanks!

Low N Slow http://lowslowbbq.com/ by Gary Wiviott is a good newbie book but it won't have much in it for a pellet pooper.

A good temp gauge is a must have. A lot of us use the Maverick. After that I don't know much about the pellet poppers so I will let others chime in.

Sure will, David. Right now I'm in need of some advice. Haven't taken my first smoker out of the box and my family is asking for smoked hot wings. What do I do now?

Jamoriana, if I were you, I'd go to the nearest wing joint and grab an armload to fill your order. There are just too many things to do with your new toy before you try to turn out any decent product. Good luck and good smoking, Joe
