So I’ve been playing with a recipe over the last month or so. I’ve been trying to come up with a good sugar free/fat free honey mustard sauce for, I’m ashamed to admit on this forum, salad dressing. I think I’ve finally stopped fiddling with it and thought I would share it with you all. While many of you don’t eat rabbit food, it also goes will with chicken.
-------------------------------------------------
Geek’s Spicy Honey Mustard Sauce
8 oz. Honey
8 oz. Yellow Mustard
¼ Cup Red Wine
½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
½-1 tsp Red Pepper Flake
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
¼ tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Cracked Black Pepper
1 tsp Salt

Mix all of the ingredients in a Bell jar. Seal and shake to mix. I also hit it with an immersion blender to break up the pepper flake and release the oils. If you want to use it for a glaze, I would increase the honey by ½ again.

What is this "salad" thing of which you speak? Where do you hunt for them?

Heheh... looks like a good recipe though and I agree that is sounds like it'd be good for chicken.

Thanks for sharing!!

Geek, you never let me down. Thanks for the recipe, good to know you're always thinking outside the box, and pushing the envelope.

Well, I know it's there, so I'm not a good test subject. I'd say, though, I could probably pick up on it if I didn't know it was there. I like the combination of cininnamon and cayanne, but I'd say if you don't like it, you could cut it completely.

Thanks geek :)
I think I will try mixing up a batch just like you posted and give it a try.
