Great looking brisket!!! I haven't seared one yet but I'm considering it now for sure. You've got me craving brisket and I haven't even finished off the ribs yet. :)
Great Job erain!!!!
I can vouch for the peppercorn garlic marinade, I used it on some ribeyes a couple nights ago. The wife said it was truly the best steak she's ever had. She says that everytime though, j/k :)
Erain - you have me drooling on my desktop with the pics and recipe ingredients for your brisket! Love the sear pictures (and commentary), did ya notice a difference in taste?
Now you've got me motivated to smoke a brisket this wknd! Great job!
wow!!! thks for all tha points everyone, i dunno if all know this but when you fill in the lil comment when leaving points you have to put your name behind otherwise dont know where they came from. Had the last of the brisky for lunch a few min ago, daang that peppercorn/garlic stuff was good. highly recomend. now i gotta see what else they make, usually store bought stuff just dont have the flavor you expect but this stuff will not let you down. and i am not a big advocate of store bought!!!!
LOL i mostly make my own rub now too but some store bought rubs just sound too good NOT to try. That cinnamon chipotle rub is pretty darned good but really the best store bought rub I've tried is the Lysanders pork rub. I use it on everything from butts to chicken tenders and it's all good. I especially like it on chicken. I used it on the bacon wrapped chicken breasts and it was delicious. Well the little bites the kids let me taste were. :)
E,
That brisky looks famously wonderful! I love the peppercorn garlic marinade, I am going to have to try that, you did not have to tweek it at all???
It came out so beautiful and plated wow with the shrooms....YUMMY!!
