I'm not really into Black Friday shopping there's way to many people but I did happen to see a 5 lb sausage stuffer in gander mountains ad for $50 buck 50% off so I picked it up. I've been wanting one for a real long time and it fit my budget. do any of ya'll have one like this? I'm pretty excited to use it!

I'm pretty excited to use it. I've been using a jerky gun to stuff snack sticks and it takes a whole afternoon! This should do it in 1/4 the time.

a lot of people have stuffers like this. it seems as if its at the very least a very common design, and at most all made in the same place with different packaging.

from what I've gathered the nylon gears work well as long as they are meshed correctly, if they bind or are "loose", you may have issues.

Get yourself some food grade silicone lubricant for the o-ring and gears. Give them a squirt right before use and you'll have no problems. Before use run the piston slowly down to the bottom and then up a crank. Mark that spot on the threads so you don't bottom out hard.

Yeah the nylon gears were a concern but that's ok. Marking the threads is a good idea I'll make sure to do that. I haven't used it yet. Trying to decide what I want to make first.
