French Dips (OMGFD)

    i have my mom coming over tomorrow to spend the day with us and just got the roasts injected and rubbed down with the seasonings and back to the fridge looking forward to a good day at the smoker and a good visit with my mom will post Q-View tomorrow as i go along look forward to trying the new recipe out also hooking her up with some wicked baked beans!!!

    Sounds great! If you serve the Wicked baked beans, you may have a house guest for awhile. I really like the beans[​IMG] .

    I am def. looking forward to this. I love french dips! How do you make the 'au jus'?

    Typically, you save the pan drippings and defat them a bit. It can be augmented with a bit of beef bullion/water in the case you need more. I add some sweated onion to my Au' jus.

    Straight bullion will work if you have no drippings...or the best way in this case is get some beef bones and make a stock. If ya wanna know how to do that- ask... I'll make a post if I can't find one here.

    Yummy...french dip and philly cheese steak are the whole reason I got the slicer. Can't wait to see your pics!
