Hey ya'll,
I'm new to the forum but read with great interest a few weeks ago all about the "fatties" contest and I have to say I immediately wanted to get to know what I deemed to be some of the most creative folks I heard of in a while. We visited a friend of our in Virginia last Fall and got the smokin" but, came back to FL and bought a little Brinkman and away we went. The Web site and particularly this forum has educated us a lot but we are still just beginners compared to you all.
Keep posting because we are sure enjoying all the reading and excellent tips.
The wife is all over me for a fattie. I gotta give it a go based on what I've seen and read.

I went there and did that. Loads of good basic information that got me started.
Reading the guys here and looking at the photos of each work start to finish is just a beautiful thing. Good food and good friends, it doesn't get any better than that!

When you uploading to Photobucket I always use the Large IMG setting, 640 x 480 it is a nice size...

First off welcome bob to SMF. You'll like this place as you know that there are alot of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anythign to do with smokin. As far as your fattie delimma you just grab a lb or so of sausage and throw in some stuff (anything you can dream of) and wrap it up with some bacon and into the smoker for a couple of hours and then BAM you have the fattie. just lbs of pure goodness and love. Then you run grab a camera and snap a bunch of pictures (Qview here) and post them here and we will tell you how graet it is and you too. So run go get something to smoke.
