foil pan vs. foil wrapping ribs

  1. using the 2-2-1 method has anyone tried placing multiple racks of ribs in a foil pan and sealing the lid instead of wrapping each individual rack?
     
  2. That is how I normally do them? I put a little liquid in the pan also...Apple cider, pineapple juice, bourbon etc.

    I haven't pan wrapped on my smoker but that is exactly how I used to do them on my gas grill, up to 4 racks cut in half. Worked like a charm.
