This is the first time I'm going to use my Backwoods smoker in cold weather. It's 25 degrees out and snow on the ground. I'm going to do baby back ribs, and sausage today. I've got the smoker coming up to temp. I'm using Killer Hogs seasoning and will do two foiled and 1 not. Here are my ribs so far. I will update as the day goes by.

I think I would set the smoker outside the open door. Not enough fresh air with just a door. CO will kill you.

Be safe before comfort.

The smoker is just in the garage door and I'm in the house. Even when I go out to check it I can smell a faint smell of smoke. I've got a CO2 minister in the garage so, so far it's not a problem.

Update 1#
My temp is holding good. I'm burning more coal than normal but I expected that since its 25 degrees out.

They ones not foiled were great. The one foiled were good too. The foiled ones were juicier. I got heavy handed with the cayenne pepper. They came out spicy. I love spicy though. They had a good smoke ring. Here is a pic of the not foiled.
