Bought a Cajun Injector gas smoker from cabellas a few months ago. Summer being so bussy for me today was my first oportunity to drink beer all day and watch meat cook. I had some anxiety and went cheap with some discounted pork spare ribs. I shortened up the 3-2-1 method to a 3-1-3/4 because the family was hungry. Diddnt have any apple juice when I wrapped them in foil so one rack got apple slices and orange juice, and the other got apple slices and mt dew (ran out of OJ) No fancy rub, just lawrys seasoning salt and pepper. Wow! Diddnt even use any barbecue sauce because it would have taken away from the awesome. If even a halfa$$ed attempt without any special spices on old discounted meat turns out like this, how can anyone fail? Family voted it right up there with my brazed short ribs. Been lurking this forum since I bought the smoker, so I just thought id register and say thanks to everyone here. I feel like I've been wasting meat for the last 15 years.
