First time Smoker in Central CA

    Hello everyone, I Just got a new electric brinkmann smoker and went big and tried a brisket the first day. It turned out great but the "commercial" bought spice rub tasted more like a rib rub. So attempting a pork butt this weekend and trying to get a homemade spice rub together. I've looked online and most of them all contain the same ingredients with lil differences here and there. I'll keep posting  updates on how my smoking went.
