I just assembled the CCSV 24"  and I'm trying to smoke a chicken. I seasoned the smoker yesterday for about three hours.

I soaked cherry wood chips for a half hour then put in smoke tray and covered with foil and out holes in the foil to let smoke out. Filled the pan with 1 " water and seasoned my chicken. Lit my smoker and put on medium around 225 degrees. Dampers are fully open.
come back a 1/2 hour later, the flames went out. Relit smoker, came back out and the chip tray was full of fire.. turned off smoker and let fire die out and started from scratch again although I didn't put new chips in. what am I doing wrong?

Glad to have you with us!

I'm not familiar with your smoker.

Hopefully someone who has one will be along shortly to help you.
