Hey everyone!  My name is Jeff and I am from Buffalo, NY.  I have been a member since June and have never posted before.  I have checked this site daily since I joined for new stuff and am extremely grateful for all of the information I have gotten from you smoking veterans.  I have no idea what has taken me so long to finally post. I have a MES 30" and love it, but my only regret is not getting the MES 40.  Friends and family have enjoyed my food so much my MES 30 won't hold enough to feed all of them!!!  Oh well, that'll be my next one.  I have done a bunch of different foods in my smoker: ribs, chicken, brisket, pork chops, wings, turkey, fatties, pulled pork and there is probably others I am forgetting.

I found this site the day I got my smoker and absolutely love it.  The step-by-step process that most of you go through including Q-view is great.  It really gives me a great sense of what I should be doing and how my bbq should look from start to finish.

I definitely plan on trying to post more and share my smoking experiences with the rest of you who have been so great sharing your experiences with me!!!

welcome to the SMF and MES family!

We get lots of questions about getting the 30" or 40" MES and my answer is always the same.

You will have friends and neighbors you never knew you had once you start smoking, get the 40"

Don't look at not getting the 40 as a regret-think of the 40 as your next gift suggestion.

Welcome to the Forums and I'm looking forward to your posts!

Enjoy the Smoke!

First off welcome to SMF there Jeff. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
