We tried a little something new for me.....a 7 lbs beef tenderloin for my Dad's birthday....he wanted some sliced sandwiches....this is what he got.

Smoker Set Up....I also did an infra-red turkey and home made potato chips

Meat going on......

1.5  hours in.....

1.5 hours flipped.....

2.5 hours in.....

3.5 hours and finished.....

Rested and sliced......

Overall this was great. The beef was extremely tender and made for a great sandwich.....also used the leftovers for steak and eggs the next morning.

Looks great! Did you fry the chips or make them in your turkey cookerr?

Just looked at a 10 pounder. It was twice as expensive as the boneless rib eye, so I came home with a 19 pound boneless rib eye instead.

We fried the chips.  and Infra-red on the turkey.  Sorry, no pics of those.....the tenderloin stole the show.

We found the tenderloin on sale for $8.99/lbs, so it was a super good deal.
