Hello - I've been checking out this site for a couple of weeks now and getting some great ideas. Pictures are of my first time smoking beef ribs in my newly acquired electric smoker. They looked and tasted wonderful - very tender and juicy.

Those look great! I have only seen them that meaty at Jack Stacks in Kansas City, MO. I love beef ribs. Sometimess prefer them to pork ribs. Can I come over sometime?

Thanks for the comments. These were bought at a local meat market here in deep south texas (McAllen). They were actually part frozen when I bought them and didn't look near as thick when I first put them on. I was checking around this site and did basically the 3-2-1 method in the MES40 that I've only done a couple of other meats in so far. Only used worcestershire and an off the shelf rub (had orange and lemon zest in it).

This is a great site and will be visiting often.

dude, those look like whole beef short ribs instead of the regular dino bones from the rib eye.

Restaurant Depot has them in stock all the time.  I love them.

    Yours look great!
