Hey Everyone,I found some top round on sale below $2 a lb so bought a roast to take advantage of extra space in my smoker while smoking a pair of venison summer sausages.  It's going in early morning tomorrow, trying to get it all done in time to go watch the Broncos game at a friends tomorrow.

Originally planned to SPOG the roast but then remembered I have a pack of Lipton's onion soup mix left from when I made french onion soup a few days ago. Wondering if it would make a good rub for a beef roast in the smoker.

I'm in uncharted water here and appreciate any and all advice.  Checked the search bar but found nothing regarding the soup mix. Thanks y'all and happy smokin' !!

I can't speak for the Lipton's, but if it were me, I'd used S,P,G and pull that baby at 130*. Slice thin and on a slicer if you have one
