Hey everyone! I picked up the Super Pro w/SFB. I'm going to smoke 3 racks of baby backs memorial day weekend. Wish me luck! I'll post pics unless it's a disaster of course.

Oh yeah, I'm going to try the infamous "Wicked Baked Beans" recipe posted on here as well.

Thanks,
Brandon

Hey now, post results pics, good or bad. If bad, it could be a learning experience that you can share as what not to do! Just do what you have learned in here and you'll have some awesome q-view to let us drool over!

Make sure ya season it fiirst, tells ya how on the left side of this page in red letters.

Hey welcome another So Cal smoker! Yeah!
What wood are you using?, I hate using chips, but my fav smoke for my ribs are the Jack Daniels Oak chips from the barrels they make the JD in....Just take the membrane off the back, sea salt and pepper then smoke yummy...Although I have not tried the 3-2-1 method yet posted in here some where....so much info so little time...
Heres to your yummy ribs....don't forget the q-vue....

Welcome to SMF...and post even the disaster...if it should happen. Someone will learn from it. And we'll get you thru the smoke guarenteed! Enjoy!

Thanks for all the encouragement!

I will post pics no matter what.

I've been reading the forum for a couple weeks now. I just picked up the smoker today, so I figured I'd say hello.

First off welcome aboard and good luck on the smoke. As someone who is still new here and to smoking, I was a bit tentative in posting qview after seeing everyone else 's with excellent looking results, and wondering if my pics would bring ridicule or praise. Fortunately, everyone here are quick to offer praise, rather than criticism.

I would post the pics regardless of the turnout.

Brandon, good luck with the ribs. You're gonna get hooked on the hobby and if you spend any time around here, you're gonna get plenty of good suggestions, support and brutally honest feedback. Have fun!

Steve

Sounds like a great menu will be served!

Wwelcome to SMF. This is THE place to be. And don't worry, we have all ruined nice cuts of meat. You just learn from your mistakes and carry on.

Welcome. Every smoke is a different challenge. Wind, outside temps. and so on. Eventually you learn enough to get you threw each smoke successfully. Things become old hat. Keep the smoke blue.
