So I got a new Char-Griller Outlaw with the side fire box and after a log debate on another thread about what to smoke first on it, I decided to do something completely different. I like the idea of the fatties but wanted to do something with marinated carne asada. So, I decided to roll bell peppers, onions and jalepenos in marinated carne asada. It sounded like a good idea......
All rolled up and about to go on the grill.
Sitting on the grill ( I had my temp probes sitting through the potatoes
All done and ready to eat.
Unfortunately, thought it may or may not look good the first bite was tough to swallow and left that stomach feeling saying not to take another bite.
Instead of purchasing a marinade, or taking one of the reciepes from this site, I decided to try a couple from a few grilling books that I have. I believe that is where the mistake was made as I did one un-marinated and it tasted ok.
I am chaulking this one up to experience and noting never to use those receipes again.
