So I am preparing to smoke my first ribs tomorrow...figured I'd try to make a rub.

I used one and a half cups of white sugar...although the popular vote seems brown?

2 Tsp Garlic Powder

2 Tsp of Regular Salt

2 Tsp of Paprika

2 Tsp of Chili Powder

1 Tsp of Cinnamon

1/2 Tsp of Cumin

1/2 Tsp of Curry Powder

1/2 Tsp of Oregano

1/2 Tsp of Cayenne

Got most of the ingredient ideas from a pervious post on here...hope it turns out!

Scratch that! I ended up abandoing the rub...

If I'm going to smoke for 6 hours...it had better be right.

I ended up searching for a Kansas City Rub and Sauce recipe...

RUB:

One-quarter cup brown sugar
One-quarter cup sweet paprika
Two teaspoons ground black pepper
Two teaspoons chili powder
Two teaspoons onion powder
One teaspoon garlic powder
One teaspoon mustard powder
One-half teaspoon powdered cayenne

1-1/2 cups of water

1/2 cup of your favorite ketchup

1/3 cup white vinegar

1/4 cup tomato paste
