Here are some pics of how my first smoke went with my new Traeger Tailgater 20. I used Jeff's rub for both racks of loin ribs and one of them I used my own bbq sauce. I slapped them on the traeger on smoke (about 180) for an hour and a half then turned it up to 225 for another 3 hours. I wrapped them in foil and added some more sauce to one rack and some more dry rub and water to the other and put them back in for another hour or so. They turned out great and took about 5 hours and I finished them off quickly on my Weber to get a crust on the outside. Here's how everything turned out:

I like it a lot. It is easy to use, held temp pretty well and using the pellets makes for almost no clean up at all. I'm happy with the purchase so far, I will see how it does on a Boston Butt next weekend, ribs were the first test run. Thanks for looking.

What type of pellets did you use? That smoke ring looks amazing!
There was a very small amount of mesquite left in the auger chamber but I filled the hopper with apple for this smoke. They came out fantastic, this was my first time using Jeff's rub and I cut back some of the spice for the wife and kids.
