First "real" smoke Q-vue

Ok I woke up late, but I was at a church function till 1:00 this morning so I cut myself a bit of slack. Today is the day. As I sit typing this message the smoke has begun to rise. As you can see from the Q-View I came to the shocking realizationthat the whole briskit would only fit with some A.- squeezing it against the walls or B.-separating the point from the flat (sure hope I did this right. Then I see that the butt is actually two pieces not one. Oh well thats an amateur for ya. Have a look, I will check in perodicaly through the day but worry not good or bad, pass or fail there will be photographic evidence.

Here we are at 3 hours and then at 5 hours right after turning fat cap up. Trying to keep the butts moist with apple juice. I am truly enjoying this, I have nearly a cup of drippings to use for finishing sauce and am getting ready to get the pan and start the sauce. Let me know if there is anything missing.

Trying to get a pic of the thin blue but the backdrop isnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t very good for seeing it but itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s there.

THank you all, it is because of you that these pics of the final product were not only good looking but even better tasting. If it weren't for SMF my first real smoke wouldn't have gone nearly so well. THe family prefers the pulled pork, I kinda like the sliced flat, both finishing sauces were terrific I just can't say thanks enough. Now I hope this record will serve as my application to OTBS
