Buck Futta and I did our first pork butt today. It was only a 5 pounder with the bone in. Dry rub was the 'Magic Dust" with a few minor alterations. About 6 hours into it we covered it. And this is the final result. Bone just popped out completely unprovoked. Smoke ring turned out nicely. The last picture was a little too late to get the full affect but unfortunately we had waited too long to eat and so that picture is minus 2 sandwiches and at least several heaping bites. Was damn tasty and got some really good bbq sauce from our butchers that they make fresh every couple of weeks. Dog was happy with the bone for the 30 minutes before he had finished it.
