Cooked in my first competition yesterday at the annual Hasty Bake Cookoff here in Tulsa. Overall everything went well. My brother and I cooked together. We took 6th overall out if 40 teams. In the "smoked entry" we took 5th with babyback ribs. 15th in the "grilled entry" with mini fatties. We took a huge gamble with the grilled item by choosing the fatties. Originally I wanted to turn in rack of lamb lollipops, but overcooked them a bit and didn't feel comfortable turning those in. All in all I'm very pleased with how we did and certainly learned a lot to take to our next comp. not great pics but here's our turn ins:
