first chuckie and beef ribs

  1. Did my first chuckie and beef ribs last Sunday and they turned out pretty good. I did forget to pull the membrane off the ribs but they were still good. I did the ribs in a black pepper rub and the chuckie in a purk rub I had on hand and sprayed it with apple juice every hr or so. let me know what you think.
  2. Ha!!! Deja Vu. I was just going to post up my first chuckies from last Sunday as well. Great minds think alike. Looks really good Lenny!!! What temp did you take the chuckie too and how did it pull for you?

Looks good!! You can try 205-210 and it should pull easier for you

    That looks great.

I would also agree that the chuck will pull apart very easily if you take it just a little higher.

I have beef ribs in the fridge that will hit the smoker today or tomorrow. Publix had them for $1.99/lb this past week. Typically you don't even see them that often. I was also thinking of pairing the ribs with a chuck.

Last Sunday you say ? I think you were lucky SMF was down last week.
After my Mom and I got done delivering some NY weather to NC and Georgia Sunday , we pulled into St. Pete Beach around 7 PM.
