First chicken...

    Tried my first whole chicken today.

    The wife put a little bit of something on it as a rub and I put it on the beer can cooker without anything inside.

    Using the Masterbuilt smokehouse (which I understand is different than the MES series) and an AMNPS using some apple and Jack Daniels.  Smoker at about 225 and filling up the AMNPS half way and loosening the door just a hair, I had 4 full hours of smoke and a chicken at 165...

    Taste results and QView coming shortly...

    Crispy crunchy skin.  Not 1 spot of dry meat to be found...

    Not as much smoke flavor as I hoped for in the breast meat, but all of the dark meat was good and tasty...

    On a side note, the smoke flavor came through in spades today when we made our chicken breast sandwiches...  Go figure...

    You must be the miracle smoker if you got crispy crunchy skin with your smoker running 225!
