Put my first ever butts on this morning around 7:30. I followed the sticky by meowey by applying the rub last night and they sat in fridge until this morning. Using a ECB modified to use my turkey cooker base to provide my heat. Holding temp steady at 250 for about 4 hours now. I have been spraying them about every 45 minutes with apple juice and V8 tropical blend mixture. Pics to come.

Sounds like it's going to be a good day.
I like the sound of the spritz mixture, good luck

It sounds like you are well on your way to some great PP. So keep it up.

I'm following in your tracks with some butts on the Lang. The rub is really good if it's applied overnight and allowed to "soak" into the meat per se. When you pulled them outta the wrap to place on the smoker, that sticky mess of goodness will end up being some tasty bark.

Hope the weather is holding out for your smoke!

Butts have been resting for about an hour now. SoFlaQuer's carolina sauce has been made and I've got a 7 yr old little girl ready to pull some pork and chow down.

First ones I've ever done to 200 deg. in about 7 hrs. Turned out pretty good. Pulling wasn't to bad but I don't know what it's supposed to be like.
