Yesterday i've done my first butt and my first ribs in m'y new smoke house. The ribs ended up really well. They were not enough "fall of the bone" for my wife, but she still liked it. The only bad part was the Rub. Wayyy too salty. Hopefully sauce was amazing. The butt turned out really good. The only bad part about it is that i left too many fat on m'y buston butt before rubbing it. After the smoke i had to remove alot of fat...so alot of flavor. Pork butt before going in the smoker Ribs before going in the smoker : Ribs done : Pork butt done ; The smokehouse : This was my first real smoke in my smokehouse. Really happy about it. It was easy to keep temp betweeen 240-250 at the top of it for the whole time. I had trouble getting smoke from my amnps at the beginning. My propane burner was taking all the oxygen. I left the bottom door a little open, then i had no trouble getting smoke. Will need to make my air trap bigger i guess! Thanks for reading!
