This is my first build, never even owned a smoker before. Inside measurements are 14"w x 18"t x 22"d. Im thinking about going with charcoal. Heres my idea so far, add a slider vent to the bottom face of the door, replace the existing door vent with a therm. ( its about 2/3 up) and then add a slider exhaust to the upper back wall. Now heres some ?s. Will it be hard to regulate temperature with charcoal in such a small area? How far do you want your charcoal away from your food realistically? Should I use a chimney on top instead? Suggestions welcome. Thanks
