Hi all, I am preparing to smoke my first brisket in my Masterbuilt Electric Smoker, 30". I have reviewed recommended rubs and cooking times and there is a ton of great info on this site. In my smoker, there is a grease cup. I have seen some recommendations saying to put water in the cup to help keep the humidity up in the smoker. My question is, does it make sense to add anything instead of water to the cup to add flavor? For example, would apple cider or apple cider vinegar add flavor? Does anyone have any other suggestion?
