Well we had a friend in from Singapore, and of course had to have some suitable food made for him.
We got a 9 pound packer brisket which fit nicely in the MES40. I used salt, pepper, and Salt Lick rub for the seasoning.
Put it on and ran for 12 hours, but the MES wasn't heating above 210deg.
(I have already sent an email to MB Cust Serv since this thing is not even two months old yet.) Since we could only get to an IT of 170 there I used the oven to carry it up to 190. Wrapped and let it rest for 1-1/2 hrs before slicing.
I tried a new recipe for beans and they started off good. But didn't finish well. Live and learn.
We did pork shots for appetizers. I heated them up on the gas grille to save time. I used Chappel Hill Pork & Venison for the sausage. The stuffing used was onion and chives cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheese, rub and glazed with brown sugar. To keep it fun some had jalapeño slices.
And here is the plated brisket wit beans and potato salad..
