Making my first stuffed jalapeno's this weekend. I have some good ideas on how and what to stuff them with. But how do you keep them from falling over and leaking out all over the place. I was thinking of turning a pie plate upside down and punching holes in it to hold the peppers. What do you guy's think????????????????

I've been kicking around the idea of firing up the welder and making a rack for them. Thinking pieces of 1/8" (maybe smaller) round stock, cut to about 2 inches long and welded into a grid with approx. 1" squares. Weld it up, have it chromed for easy cleanup, and wala... ABT rack.

Think it'd work?

I usually cut them in half and then bacon wrap, I haven't had any leakage yet. Maybe it depends on the type of cheese that is being used. I know that someone makes racks mainly for smokin' ABT's, try Cabela's.

i also cut em lengthwise.......making a kinda boat outta em..........i can get ALL the ribs and seeds out this way............

i yust to cut em long ways now top em scrape em fill em3/4 to 7/8 is a nice size hole easy to make if nothing else use large flat washers

I took a pie pan and drilled 7/8in. holes in it-gave me 15-18 I think-workes great-and now I needed another-thanks hon. i buy u a couple more!

I got my pepper rack at sportsmen warehouse and love it. Might have to make one out of a pie pan great idea desertlites.
Stuffing the jalapenos I just cut the stem end off and core them out with a potato peeler and stuff with creme cheese and shrimp or crab.

I also like to slice mine in half lenght-wise. Use a toothpick to help hold the bacon on and to keep them from rolling around back and forth on the grill. Cook until the bacon is done and a you have a great snack.
