I Haven't been around much, got another hobby I have been working on (mums the word) also been busy with some hiking trips. Cooler weather is on its way, hopefully I 'll get back to some Serious Pit Cooking. Were still eating pork so I need to consume what we have in the freezer.

Garden has been generous this year, Been eating eggplant, tomatoes and peppers almost every day, soon will start infusing some olive oils with herbs that are growing like crazy. Tomatoes have been so good this year that I let the squirrels have one now and then.

Fired up the firepit and cooked dinner for 15, Happy with the results, nice subtle smoke flavor on the burgers and dogs, Fire Roasted poblanos were tossed in a chili for lunches this week, eating that as I type this. Jalapenos have been fruitful so the Hot sauce/Rub/Seasoned salt has been started.

Chicken had a very nice firey/smoky flavor and was cooked "well done" per request.
