I just smoked two 8.5 lb butts for 6.5 hours and I cant see anything out here as I dont have any outdoor lights, so I moved them to the oven. Im at 174 right now and climbing about a degree every 20 minutes.

Im in the stall, but am I going to retain a good smoke flavor by finishing in the oven? Im more concerned with overall flavor than bark at this point.

Yep

6.5 hrs. will a good flavor . Non shame in using the Oven and finishing a Butt. They are very forgiving.

If it's a bone in , when the Bone gets loose , and it is tender(toothpick test) , then remove and rest before Pulling...
