Well, I broke down and finally did it! Went to Sears and picked up a Weber 22.5 in kettle grill. Been eyeing them for quite some time. I can finally get rid of my el cheapo walmarto square grill that would never stay hot. Gonna break it in tomorrow with some nice ribeyes. Pretty excited about that!

YO! We have one. You can smoke on it ya no. we have the grill w/the little doors on either side.Had to call Weber for the baskets.worth it.

Kudos on your new grill. I just watched a special on the Food Network about the Weber kettle grill, and their signature restaurants peppered across Chicago and the midwest. After watching the special, I definitely am eyeing one of those as my next "investment" in grilling/smoking!

Hope it works well, and as Andy said, let's see some pics!

Well, had to throw a pic out there since you asked for it. Did a couple butterflied pork chops seasoned with onion powder, paprika, garlic salt, rosemary, and thyme. Really diggin the new grill! Also, had some potatoes and brocolli with cheese on the side.

You're the owner of a great grill that is going to give you some great meals, congrats.

The weber kettle is an awesome BBQ investment. Our family has owned a couple of weber kettles almost 30 years. Currently we have a Weber 22" kettle, a little Smokey Joe, and Genesis Silver B LP BBQ. But I learned how to grill & slow cook, and smoke on the kettle.
In fact earlier this evening I grilled a tri-tip, several ears of corn, and Red Potatoes with Rosemary and Garlic.
Our 22" kettle has been to the beach, on camping trips, out to the lake, cooked several Thanksgiving & Christmas Turkeys, and a couple of graduation celebration parties.

Enjoy the weber kettle, its built for cooking great food, and will be part of great memories.

awesome grill! you can cook everything on that thing including a 25 lb turkey!!! i recommend the charcoal baskets from weber for indirect cooking!!! have fun with it!!!
