Hello there,
I've been lurking these forum's for a long time and figured I was way past due to join the group so I can take full advantage of the wealth of info available here on SMF, ask a few noob questions here and there, and also chime in with my own input on topics I do have some knowledge of! (which may not be much at this point - lol)
I have been "grilling" for many year's (most recently on my fairly new Genesis S.E. EP330 gas Weber, although I do also use a coal burning Weber 22" 1-Touch Gold as well), but I am a complete virgin when it come's to cooking with a SMOKER... I actually don't even own my first smoker (yet)... but I think I have it narrowed down to the obvious choice (being that I am a Weber fan already) the 22.5" Smokey Mountain!
I keep reading about the MES-40's too, which also seem very popular, although It look's like the newer Gen2's are having a handful of issue's... and the Gen1's are becoming difficult to find... Hmmmm...
Hard to find any genuine complaints regarding the trusty 'ol WSM's though, so that is likely the path I will stumble down as I learn this fine art of smoking meat's
