We wanted a break and decided to not Deep Fry turkeys this Thanksgiving or Christmas and only do Smoked Turkeys, sadly we had very few orders for smoked this time. Them deep fried turkeys are really popular around our area.

Anywho, Thanksgiving we did 10 turkeys, 2 hams and a couple turkey legs. Christmas I did only 4 turkeys, 6 hams and a 7lb Prime Rib, and New Years Eve I did 7 racks of ribs, 2 butts, and a ham. here are what few pics I took.

I'll share how we do Turkey's now that we switched from deep frying as well,

We smoke 12 to 14 lb birds about 10 hours overnight, then place them in those cheap styrofoam coolers you get at the dollars store until it's time to eat. They usually stay in there about 5 hours or so, but when you open them up, the meat will fall off of the bone before you can get it out of the cooler. Usually throw out the skin and bones, mix the white and dark meat together ( I'm not going to call it pulled, cause there is no pulling going on , it just falls apart) and top it with a lil salt and pepper.

No one here wants the deep fried ones anymore!
