grothe, since this bacon weave pictorial has received such positive feedback, I'm moving it to sticky status.

On a sidenote, I used to do flat bacon weaves and fried them up for bacon cheeseburgers and BLT sammies. Sure helped to keep the from falling off. Nice to see this old dog (bacon weave) learning a new trick!

you seen the post on my first fatties. i seen the reply. this worked like clock work with this lesson. thanks again. and the points were well earned. these were great. im fattie hooked now. all my friends seen my pics and were in aw. thanks.

Nice, but I prefer to weave my bacon out flat on a cutting board. This reduces damage to the fatty causes by excessive handling.
excessive handling of my fatty is a problem I am working to over come as well

but seriously, I have screwed one up before just moving it around from fridge to bacon to smoker

got a couple in the fridge right now rolled in food service wrap, planning on putting bacon weave just before putting them on the smoker this afternoon

am thinking about putting them in the freezer an hour or two before I plan on wrapping them up, just enough they start to stiffen/harden up, but nowhere near actual freezing solid

anybody ever tried something like that?
