So I want to smoke a roast for Sunday brunch
I always have done my eye rounds in the oven but now I can't wait to use the smoker
I don't have the meat yet I am figuring a 6 to 8 lb roast. Going to inject with beef stock
Set it overnite in fridge then some rib in the
Am. Then in the smoker on a x rack sitting
In alum pan to catch dripping some til IT is 145.. Am I missing anything? Something better than eye round?

Well, yeah, there are lots of cuts better than eye of round.  Question is whether you want to spend the $$$ on them.  A quick list would be whole tenderloin, ribeye roast (Prime Rib), NY Strip roast, sirloin roast and arguably a nice top round roast.

All that said, Eye of Round makes for some good eats though I'd pull it well before it hit 145 as I like my meats right between rare and mid-rare.
