Saturday was marinated N.Y. strip steaks, brined then grilled shrimp, and red potatoes done on the grill in a foil pack:

thanks,

I was going to smoke the flat iron,  but  went for a quick run on the roaring hot kettle.   about 3 minutes per side to get that doneness.

As always, looks great Jim.  You made some of my favorites there -- shrimp, steak, grilled corn.   I'm sure it all tasted as good as it looks too.

thanks folks,

the flat iron was cheap, and worked just like skirt or flank.

Looks like some fine feasting around your place

Yes you have done it again there Jim. Thats a might fine looking food you are serving there. Now can I offer you a place in florida the weather is nice and there's not any oil on this side yet. I think the guy next door is thinking of moving or I might have to give him a shove and you could move next door. I would like to have you as a neighbor if you keep smoking like this.
